Model 1936 Feldbluse
Description of Original
The Model 1936 enlisted man's feldbluse was smartly styled and at the same time was functional. The dark blue-green (or bottle green) collar set it apart from the later versions, although NCOs and even enlisted men would sometimes contract a tailor to add the facing to later versions of the feldbluse. The M36 had five buttons down the front and four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps.

M36 with pre-war shoulder straps and collar patches

Description of Our M36

Our M36 Feldbuse is constructed of plain weave feldgrau wool milled in Germany. It is not Chinese or Indian wool that is simply shipped thru Germany. The color is an exact match for pre/early war wool.

The lower (a.k.a skirt) pockets have bellows for expansion to increase cargo capacity, just like the originals. Front closure uses five pebbled steel looped-back buttons and a hook-and-eye at the collar.

Collar backing consists of reed green HBT cotton, with the interfacing attached via zig-zag stitching. Please note that the details of this pattern varied greatly on originals.

Lining consists of mouse gray medium weight cotton twill. A medium taupe, plain weave fabric of 65% linen/35% rayon is also available and may be substituted at our discretion. A lightweight rayon/acetate blend that is very close to the appearance and feel of the original German rayon lining is available upon request.

Thread is Anner's original 40 wt feldgrau cotton or, if requested, a modern equivalent that is slightly less green and more blue than the Anner's. We are no longer using taupe thread, as this is not accurate. Both the original and modern threads will fade naturally with exposure to sunlight and water.

Please note in the pictures below the difference of the shoulder cut on the M36. Most M36 feldblusen we've encountered have this style of cut.

Price for this version includes EM eagle and collar tabs. For Heer tunics, please specify branch waffenfarbe and early or late war breast eagle when placing your order.

Price: $280 to $350   see pricing table here

Model 1940 Feldbluse
Description of Original
The Model 1940 version retained all of the pre-war features except the bottle green facing on the collar. The M40 collar was the same fieldgray (feldgrau) as the rest of the feldbluse.

Description of our M40
Our M40 has the same features as the M36 with the exception of the dark green collar. Just like the originals, we use the same feldgrau wool as the body of the feldbluse to face the collar. The backing is reed green cotton HBT and uses a zig-zag stitch pattern, the same as on the M36.

Price range is $280 to $350, the same as the M36.

Model 1941 Feldbluse

Description of Original
The Model 1941 version was identical to the 1940 style, except it had six buttons down the front instead of five. The SS retained a five-button front placket throughout the war, but it's not unheard of for an SS soldier to have worn a six-button tunic.
