Placing Your Order
If you know exactly what uniform you need, then you can simply email us with your order. Otherwise, please email us at info@on-the-march.com with any questions you have.

Step 1: Read everything on this page.

Step 2: Take your measurements. See instructions and diagram below. OR, if you have no special fitting requirements, you can order a standard size, such as 100R, and skip the measurements.

Step 3: Email us at orders@on-the-march.com with the following information:

  1. Chest measurement OR size (see step 2 above)
  2. Waist measurement
  3. Neck measurement
  4. Sleeve length measurement
  5. Inseam measurement
  6. Your height (5'10", 6'4", etc.)
  7. Name
  8. Shipping address
  9. Feldbluse model number (M36, M43, Fliegerbluse, etc.), trousers type (early war or Keilhosen)
  10. Heer or SS
  11. What insignia you need
  12. Email address or phone number where you can be reached

Step 4: We will contact you with the order total, including the estimated shipping and handling charges. Your 50% deposit is required before we place your tunic in the schedule. We will also tell you whether or not yours is a standard pattern item.

How to Take Your Measurements

  • either inches or centimeters
  • more accurate if someone else takes your measurements for you
  • use a cloth measuring tape designed for sewing, not the metal type used for building a garden shed
IMPORTANT: It is extremely important to have these measurements correct!
  1. Chest: around the fullest part, just under the armpits, snug, but not tight.
Make sure the tape measure is over the shoulder blades.
  2. Waist: around the waist, about 1 inch above the navel, snug, but not tight. If you have a large waist, this will be a non-standard sized item. Do not give your jeans waist size!
  3. Neck: around the neck just below the Adam’s apple, snug, but not tight.
  4. Sleeve: from the top of the arm (not the center of the back) at the shoulder seam to the cuff, about 1/2 inch below the wrist bone, with the arm straight, not bent. Please do not use your shirt sleeve length!
  5. Inseam: from the crotch to the foot, about 2" above the floor in your barefeet (OK, stocking feet works too!)
  6. Height: your overall height. This is essential to make sure that the tunic is the correct length. Please measure your height in barefeet (or stocking feet).

Regular length: 5’7” to 5’10”
Long (tall) length: 5’11” to 6’2”
Extra long (tall): 6’3” to 6’6”
